Dan Schonfeld

Dan Schonfeld is an accomplished data science and machine learning professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Applied Research at eBay, Dan leads the Item Recommendation Algorithms team to enhance the Buyer Experience and drive growth. Prior to this, Dan managed a team at eBay Ads, developing advanced recommendation systems for a vast inventory and delivering real-time solutions to a global audience. Dan's experience in the United States Air Force includes managing sizable teams to create production-level machine learning solutions and achieving significant client growth. Additionally, Dan held the role of Director of Data Science at DataPrime, Inc., where innovative job matching algorithms were developed. Dan holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy.
