Greg Kocher

Greg Kocher is an experienced applied researcher currently at eBay since February 2021, specializing in search, ranking, retrieval, and machine learning (ML) modeling and calibration. Prior to eBay, Kocher interned at Amazon in 2019, focusing on natural language processing and text similarity for an ad-group keyword recommender system. In 2018, Kocher gained experience at J.P. Morgan as a machine learning intern, working on reinforcement learning agents for algorithmic trading, and at Uber, contributing to time series forecasting as part of the Intelligent Decision Systems team. Kocher's earlier role as a data scientist at Natera involved developing statistical classifiers for cancer detection and algorithms for PCR artifact detection.
