Marcus A.

Marcus A. has diverse work experience in various industries. Marcus started their career as an English Instructor at Shanghai Finance University in 2003. Marcus then worked as a Web Designer/CMS Builder at Yale University School of Medicine from 2003 to 2006. Marcus also interned at Hua Mao Silicon Valley Law Firm in 2006, where they examined legal documents and assisted with translations.

In 2006, Marcus returned to Yale University and held multiple roles. As a Computer and Information Systems (C&IS) Support Specialist, they provided support to the Office of the Chief Information Officer and Vice President. Marcus also played a key role in planning and drafting a grant proposal, securing significant funds for network infrastructure improvements. Later, as a Business Systems Analyst and Data Security Analyst, Marcus focused on information assurance, compliance, and policy development at Yale University.

Marcus joined Webster Bank in 2016 as a Senior IT Auditor. Marcus conducted technology audits in areas such as information security, IT infrastructure, and third-party vendor relationships. Marcus contributed to the audit process, including risk assessment, project planning, and reporting.

In 2017, Marcus joined UBS as an Associate Director, IT Audit & Risk Control Specialist. Marcus provided strategic insights to effectively identify and manage technology risk. Marcus collaborated with management, risk managers, and technical teams to conduct technology risk assessments, with a focus on Identity and Access Management.

Most recently, Marcus has been working at ebbo since 2019. Marcus initially served as a Compliance and Regulatory Specialist, working on policy and compliance improvements. Currently, as a Senior Compliance and Regulatory Specialist, Marcus functions as a compliance resource for a dynamic team of IT professionals and company leadership, enhancing operations and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company practices.

Marcus A. has a Bachelor's Degree in East Asian Studies from Harvard University. Marcus also holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from The University of Connecticut School of Law. In addition to their formal education, Marcus has obtained several certifications throughout the years, including LogicGate Power User Certification in June 2022, Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) in February 2021, Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP) in January 2021, Certified In Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) in December 2018, CCSA: Certification in Control Self-Assessment in January 2017, Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) in October 2015, ITIL Foundations in January 2012, and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) in June 2015. Marcus also obtained the title of Attorney from the Superior Court of the State of Connecticut in December 2009, and became a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) through the Scrum Alliance in May 2021.
