Aliaa Khalaf

Aliaa Khalaf, MBA, CCO has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Aliaa currently holds the position of Chief Compliance Officer at Egyptian Banks Company since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Compliance and Risk Director at OPay from May 2021 to October 2021. Additionally, they served as an Instructor at the Egyptian Banking Institute from October 2017 to May 2021. Aliaa also worked as the Compliance & Risk Director at DAMEN E-Payments Co. from October 2019 to April 2021.

In the past, they have held various positions including HR & OD Expert at the League of Arab States from August 2018 to September 2019, DGM Operational Risk (Consultant) at EG Egyption Gulf Bank from April 2017 to June 2017, and Operational Risk Head at Blom Bank Egypt from June 2013 to March 2017.

Before these roles, they worked as Deputy of Operational Risk Head at Bank Audi from December 2011 to May 2013, Process Reengineering Manager at Banque Misr from March 2011 to November 2011, and Risk Analysis Manager at Banque Misr from December 2009 to January 2011.

Aliaa Khalaf holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in IT from Kuwait University, which was obtained from 1985 to 1989. In 2015, they obtained an MBA in Strategic Management from Victoria University and in the same year, they also obtained an HR Management Diploma from Brilliance Business School. In 2014, they obtained a Strategic Management Diploma and in 2013, they obtained an Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management Diploma as well as a Human Resources Management Diploma, both from Brilliance Business School. Additionally, they completed a Life & Relationship Coach program from Mars & Venus Coaching in 2018 and an Integrated Organization Development program from Human Capital in 2019. Aliaa Khalaf also holds certifications such as Certified Compliance Officer (CCO) from IABFM Africa in 2021, and other various diplomas and certifications related to training and NLP.
