Dr. Taylor is the W.A. “Tex” Moncrief, Jr. Chair in Computational Medicine and a Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, where they also direct the Center for Computational Medicine. Previously, they served as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Scientific Officer at HeartFlow, Inc., and held an Associate Professorship at Stanford University. With over 450 peer-reviewed publications and more than 300 issued patents, Dr. Taylor is internationally recognized for pioneering work in patient-specific cardiovascular modeling using computer simulation methods. They obtained multiple degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Stanford University, and have received several prestigious awards in their field, including election to the National Academy of Engineering in 2024.
