Andy Yates

Andy Yates is an experienced bioinformatician currently serving as the Team Leader of the Genomics Technology Team at EMBL-EBI since February 2014, where responsibilities include support for Ensembl and Ensembl Genomes projects. Prior to this role, Yates coordinated support for the Ensembl project and held various technical positions including Ensembl Core Software Project Leader and Software Engineer at EMBL-EBI. Earlier experience includes programming for the open-source Biojava project and serving as a Senior Computer Biologist at the Cancer Genome Project - Sanger Institute. Yates holds an MSc in Bioinformatics and a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from The University of Manchester.
