Aurélien Dugourd

Aurélien Dugourd is a Staff Scientist at Seazlab, University Heidelberg, where they lead the development and application of methods for extracting mechanistic insights from multi-omic datasets. With a focus on signaling and metabolism in complex diseases, particularly cancer, Aurélien collaborates with pharmaceutical partners to advance novel cancer treatments and understand resistance mechanisms. They previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Heidelberg University and held a PhD student position at RWTH Aachen University, where they developed hybrid mechanistic models integrating various biological data. Aurélien also gained experience through internships at Institut Curie and Inserm, contributing to projects in autophagy and therapeutic strategies for Cystic Fibrosis. They hold master's degrees in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from Université de Bretagne Occidentale and Université de Nantes, respectively.
