Berk Gönenç

Berk Gönenç is currently an intern at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since March 2023. Berk has completed a master's degree with high honours in the Erasmus Mundus BeIn Precision Medicine program, a fully funded initiative by the European Commission, from August 2022 to September 2023. Previous experience includes roles as a bioinformatician at Genomize and a development intern at the same company, as well as a student assistant position at Universität zu Köln. Academic background includes a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Boğaziçi University and participation in an Erasmus program at the University of Cologne. Berk has also engaged in undergraduate research at Boğaziçi University's Behavioral Neuroscience Lab and Sense(Fish) Lab.
