David Carpentier

David Carpentier is a highly experienced scientific database curator at the European Bioinformatics Institute, a position held since February 2023. Previously, David served at the University of Cambridge from June 2011 to January 2023, where responsibilities included managing the microscopy facility and conducting postdoctoral research on poxvirus infection. David also has experience as a postdoctoral research associate at Imperial College London, focusing on gene therapy strategies for motor neurone disease, as well as a contract services manager at Oxford Expression Technologies, optimizing protein expression systems.
