Edward Turner

Edward Turner has an extensive background in software development and bioinformatics, currently serving as Cloud Software Development Lead at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since January 2010. Edward has advanced through various roles at EMBL-EBI, including Software Engineering Lead and Senior Software Engineer. Prior to this, Edward held the position of Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Surrey from September 2007 to December 2009 and was a Ph.D. Student and Research Assistant at the University of Southampton from July 2003 to 2007. Edward earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southampton in 2007, following a B(Sc) in Computer Science from the same institution in 2003.
