Garth Ilsley

Ensembl Regulation Project Leader at European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI

Garth Ilsley is an accomplished bioinformatician with extensive experience in both research and project leadership. Currently serving as the Ensembl Regulation Project Leader at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since August 2019, Garth has previously held positions as a Research Scientist at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at EMBL-EBI. Garth began a career in bioinformatics as a PhD student at EMBL-EBI, following a role as a Business Analyst at GlaxoSmithKline and a Software Consultant at Haiku Consulting. Garth earned a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge and holds an MSc in Bioinformatics from The University of Manchester.
