John Barron

John Barron is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as a Senior Finance Manager at the European Bioinformatics Institute since May 2019. With extensive experience at BP from July 2011 to September 2018, John held various roles, including Finance Transformation Manager, where responsibilities included identifying and implementing stabilization initiatives for financial processes within Global Business Services, as well as serving as a Finance Manager supporting HR Information Systems and Operations. Prior to BP, John applied project management skills as a Project Manager and Change Leader at Chaucer Consulting and worked as an Agricultural Business Management Consultant at Mark Westwood Ltd. John began a career in agriculture as a farmer with I T Barron P/L from 1993 to 2002. Educational qualifications include a Chartered Global Management Accountant designation from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, a Prince2 Practitioner certification from APM Group, and a B.Sc. in Agricultural Business Management from the University of London.
