Manuel Luypaert is a skilled bioinformatics software developer at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since June 2020, with prior experience as a senior bioinformatician and bioinformatician at Biogazelle from August 2012 to May 2020. In this role, Manuel was responsible for the development and maintenance of Biogazelle's primer design pipeline, creating qPCR assays for gene expression analysis across various organisms. An earlier internship at the Center for Medical Genetics, UGhent involved the development of a web tool for the microRNA body-map, enhancing visualization of microRNA functions and networks. Manuel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical and Biological Lab Technologies with a focus on Bioinformatics from Howest, University College West Flanders, completed in 2012.
