Sri Appasamy is a Bioinformatician at the European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI, having held this position since January 2022. Prior to this role, Sri worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Bowling Green State University from August 2015 to December 2021 and as a Research Assistant at the National University of Malaysia (UKM) from March 2014 to July 2015, where Sri developed the InterRNA database, which focuses on RNA structural annotations. Earlier experience also includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at UKM from January 2010 to February 2013, concentrating on RNA 3D motif analysis and contributing to the development of the NASSAM webserver. Sri's educational background includes a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Molecular Biology from the National University of Malaysia (UKM).
