Tuğdem M.

Tuğdem M. currently holds the position of Scientific Training Officer at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since November 2025. Prior to this role, Tuğdem served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from February 2024 to November 2025 and worked as a Junior Research Scientist at Montana Bioagriculture Inc. from August 2022 to September 2023. Additionally, a brief tenure as a Postdoctoral Researcher took place at Sabanci University from January 2022 to June 2022. Tuğdem's academic background includes a PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Bioengineering from Sabanci University, a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from the University of Essex, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Bioengineering from Montana State University-Bozeman and Istanbul Technical University. Teaching experience was gained as a Lecturer at Near East University from October 2014 to June 2015.
