Celia Kitchell

Celia Kitchell is an experienced engineer with a strong background in environmental engineering and water systems management. Currently serving as an Assistant Engineer at EBMUD since April 2024, Celia previously held roles at Delta Diablo as both an Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer, as well as an Engineering CO-OP at the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District. Early career experiences included an Engineering Internship with the County of Yolo and a Graduate Student Researcher position at the Center for Water Energy Efficiency at UC Davis, where research focused on energy optimization in water systems. Celia's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and a BA in Environmental Studies from Hampshire College, complemented by ongoing engineering education at City College of San Francisco. Notably, Celia also contributed to the production of the documentary "A Fierce Green Fire," engaging audiences through outreach and content management.
