George Chiu is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in civil and infrastructure engineering. Currently serving as an Associate Engineer at EBMUD since 2007, George Chiu plays a key role in resolving utility conflicts and managing a significant $56 million pipeline relocation program. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager at URS Group (AECOM), Senior Civil Engineer at LFR Levine Fricke (Arcadis), and Senior Engineer/Project Manager at Dames & Moore Consulting, where George Chiu contributed to business development, stormwater management, flood control, and various engineering projects. An early career began as an Engineering Assistant at P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd. George Chiu holds a Master’s degree in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, complemented by education from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
