Esmée Boter is a geoscientist currently employed at Energie Beheer Nederland, focusing on gas exploration and conducting regional studies on subsurface potential for hydrocarbons, CO2 storage, and hydrogen storage since July 2020. Prior to this, Esmée served as a trainee in Innovation New Energy Technology, specializing in induced seismicity related to geothermal energy and regional geological studies. At Witteveen+Bos, from February 2019 to July 2020, Esmée worked as a geo-energy advisor, addressing geothermal energy risks and aquifer thermal energy storage. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Earth Structure and Dynamics from Utrecht University, an Associate Degree in Geology from Curtin University, and a Bachelor’s in Aardwetenschappen from Utrecht University, along with foundational education from Junior College Utrecht and Anna van Rijn College.
