Mark Hooftman is an experienced project manager and policy advisor with a strong focus on energy and geothermal solutions. Currently, at EBN B.V. since October 2020, Mark coordinates a team developing a business model for the Dutch state’s involvement in collective heat solutions and oversees the regional strategy for geothermal energy in Utrecht. Previous roles at the Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat included responsibilities as a policy coordinator for geothermal production and project management for significant energy projects. Mark’s expertise also encompasses onshore wind policy at Nuon (Vattenfall) and consulting on stakeholder engagement and policy research at Twynstra Gudde. Academic qualifications include a Master's in Political Sciences from Universiteit van Amsterdam and a Bachelor's in Communication from Hanze.
