Willem-Jan Plug

Willem-Jan Plug is a seasoned professional in reservoir engineering and carbon capture and storage (CCS), with extensive experience in numerical modeling, experimental work, and project management. They served as a Reservoir Engineer at Total E&P and later led subsurface engineering efforts at TAQA Energy BV, contributing significantly to the Bergermeer Gas Storage project. Currently, Willem-Jan is the Subsurface Manager for CCS at EBN B.V. and also holds the position of Senior Project Manager at Porthos, focusing on the integration of CO₂ transport and storage projects. Willem-Jan earned a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from TU Delft and has built a solid foundation in civil engineering with a Master's degree from Delft University of Technology.
