Muhammad Hammad

Muhammad Hammad has a diverse work experience in the field of security engineering. Muhammad started their career as an Intern at COMMTEL in December 2016 and worked there until April 2017. Muhammad then joined COMMTEL as an Information Security Engineer in May 2017 and continued in this role until December 2020.

In 2019, Muhammad joined Ebryx (Pvt.) Ltd. as a Security Engineer. Muhammad was responsible for carrying out SOC activities, maintaining SIEM solution components, and working in rotational shifts. Muhammad also gained experience in cloud security, purple teaming/blue teaming, and creating detection playbooks at Ebryx.

Muhammad's role at Ebryx progressed, and they were promoted to the position of Senior Security Engineer / Team Lead in December 2020. In this role, they provided L2 & L3 support, monitored networks using various tools, and performed SIEM gap assessments.

Recently, Muhammad took on the role of Lead Security Engineer at Ebryx in January 2022. Muhammad manages the SOC team, handles client meetings, and trains the team on tools and technologies. Muhammad also deploys SOC and security solutions for organizations, creates detection rulesets and playbooks, and provides mentorship and leadership to the team.

Overall, Muhammad Hammad has demonstrated expertise in security engineering, SOC management, cloud security, and continuous monitoring throughout their work experience.

Muhammad Hammad completed their Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Iqra University (Official) between 2013 and 2016. Prior to that, they attended Fatimiyah Boys College from 2010 to 2012, where they pursued Pre-Engineering as part of their high school education. Before that, from 2008 to 2010, Muhammad attended Oxford Grammar School for their high school education, with a focus on Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Muhammad Hammad has obtained several certifications. In June 2022, they received the IBM Cloud Pak for Security V1.x Administrator Specialty certification from IBM. In March 2018, Muhammad obtained the IBM Certified Associate Administrator - Security QRadar SIEM V7.2.8 certification. Furthermore, in August 2017, they earned the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching) certification. Muhammad also holds the OfficeScan XG Certified Professional certification, which they obtained from Trend Micro in April 2018. Lastly, in February 2018, they achieved the Deep Security 10 Certified Professional certification, also from Trend Micro.
