Alan O'Donovan has held the position of Senior Tech Support Specialist at EBS Limited since October 1999, overseeing VMWare, Linux, Windows, and Netware servers and infrastructure. With extensive experience in provisioning servers, managing virtual environments, and optimizing performance, Alan is proficient in multiple Linux distributions including Red Hat, SLES, and Debian. Prior to this, Alan served in the Irish Defence Forces from August 1991 to October 1999, starting as an Apprentice Radio Technician and progressing to the role of Computer Technician, where responsibilities included maintaining IT infrastructure and resolving technical issues. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science and a Diploma in Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin, completed between 1997 and 2005.
