Jan Olsson

Jan Olsson is an experienced sports executive currently serving as the Vice President of the EBU Sports Committee at the European Broadcasting Union since October 2025. Prior to this role, Jan held various leadership positions including General Secretary at the Swedish Swimming Federation from September 2004 to August 2010, and General Secretary at SweSports from 1995 to 2004. Jan also serves as the Chairman of Mälarhöjdens IK Gång since April 1994 and was a Board Member at Städa Sverige until March 2007. In addition, Jan has been the Head of Negotiations and Broadcasting Sponsoring at Swedish Television since September 2010 and was previously Vice President of EBU Sports Committee from September 2015 to October 2023. Jan's leadership experience extends to serving as Chairman of the Association of General Secretaries in Swedish Sport Federations from March 2003 to March 2010. Educational qualifications include studies at Harvard Law School, Bosön Idrottsfolkhögskola, the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, and Uppsala University, culminating in a program on negotiation and sports management in 2021.
