Shawn Hooper

Shawn Hooper, CSM has over 20 years of work experience in the fields of DevOps, Configuration Management, and Build Engineering. Shawn most recently worked as the Associate Director of DevOps at Eccalon, LLC from December 2021 to present. Before that, they were the DevSecOps Lead at the same company from July 2019 to November 2021. Prior to joining Eccalon, LLC, Shawn served as a Senior Consultant - DevOps at Coveros from January 2019 to July 2019. Shawn also worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Tsymmetry from January 2018 to January 2019. Shawn's extensive experience includes managerial roles, such as Manager, Configuration and Build Engineering at NTT DATA from November 2008 to January 2018, where they previously served as a Configuration Management / Build Engineer from August 2007 to November 2008. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Configuration Management / Build Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from January 2007 to August 2007. Shawn began their career in the technology industry as a Configuration Management Specialist at Keane Federal Systems Inc from September 2005 to January 2007. Shawn also worked as a Configuration Management Analyst at Marriott from March 2004 to September 2005 and started their professional journey as a Web Developer / CM Analyst at EDS from July 2000 to March 2004.

Shawn Hooper, CSM obtained their Associates degree in General Studies from Montgomery College in 1997. Following that, they attended the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 1997 to 1999, where they earned their Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Marketing.
