Eccogene is focused on building a pipeline of best-in-class small molecule therapeutics for chronic cardiometabolic and inflammatory conditions with the goal of improving care and expanding access to cost effective medicines for millions of patients worldwide. Among our core strengths is our team -- comprised of individuals with world-class expertise in translational research and small molecule discovery -- as well as our deep understanding of diabetes, weight loss and cardiometabolic disease pathways. Our oral small molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist, ECC5004, is a potentially best-in-class asset, which we licensed to AstraZeneca. To expand on the opportunity in cardiometabolic disease, we are also advancing clinical programs targeting THR-β and SSAO, as well as preclinical programs targeting proven pathways, such as GIP.
