E-Cell, IIT Bombay

The Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) is a non-profit organization run by students of IIT Bombay. We create awareness among students & professionals about Entrepreneurship through our various programs like workshops, speaker sessions, business plan competitions, and other such events. We support upcoming Entrepreneurs by providing them necessary resources such as mentors, consultancy, seed funds and networking. We conduct Asia's largest B-Model competition Eureka! with prize money of INR 65 Lakhs and incentives worth 50 Lakhs. The last edition of Eureka! received 15,000+ entries from India and abroad. Seven tracks were formed to allow startups to compete in their own domain. Over the years, Eureka! has received huge attention from national and international media being featured in reputed newspapers like Hindustan Times and Indian Express. E-Summit is the annual flagship event of E-Cell IIT Bombay organized in February each year. The purpose of the summit is to bring together all the stakeholders of the entrepreneurship ecosystem. The summit has an attendance of 35,000+ people, most of them being professionals, entrepreneurs and college students. The two-day event is filled with activities like speaker sessions, on-the-spot funding competitions, networking arena, and other events to encourage the idea of starting up among the attendees. The summit has had speaker sessions from great entrepreneurs like Travis Kalanick, Kiran Majumdar Shaw, Sachin Bansal, Ritesh Agarwal, Bhavish Aggarwal, Bharat Desai, and personalities like Rajat Sharma, Nandan Nilekani, Amitabh Kant, Anurag Kashyap and Ashish Chanchalani.
