Andrew Whyte

Andrew Whyte is the Chief Executive of the Association of Financial Mutuals since January 2023, and serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for Neighbourhood Watch and an Advisory Board Member for Echo Research. Previously, Andrew was a consultant at Fourteen Forty and held several key positions at the Financial Conduct Authority from July 2014 to April 2021, including Director of Communications and Head of External and Internal Relations. Andrew founded Kingsnorth Communications, a consultancy focused on strategy, leadership, and change communications, and has also served as Director of New Ways of Working at Defra and held various directorial roles in communications at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Defra, and Arts Council England. Educational qualifications include a BA Hons in English and Philosophy from The University of Manchester and completion of the Accelerated Development Programme at London Business School.
