Karim Kader

Karim Kader began their work experience in 2005 as an Assistant Professor of Urology at Wake Forest University. In 2009, they co-founded echoBase and held the position of Co-Founder. In 2011, they joined UCSD as the Director of Urologic Oncology and Associate Professor of Urology.

Karim Kader began their education journey in 1986 at The University of British Columbia, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry. Karim successfully completed their bachelor's degree in 1990. Following this, Karim decided to further their academic pursuits and enrolled at The University of British Columbia for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Microbiology and Immunology. Karim dedicated himself to this program from 1990 to 1996 and obtained their PhD degree.

With a strong foundation in research and academia, Karim ventured into the medical field. From 1996 to 2000, they attended The University of British Columbia again to pursue a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Building upon their medical education, Karim proceeded to the University of Toronto, where they engaged in a Residency program in Urology from 2000 to 2005.

To refine their expertise in Urologic Oncology, Karim joined the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center for a Fellowship from 2005 to 2007. During this fellowship, they furthered their knowledge and skills in this specialized field.

Overall, Karim Kader's education history showcases a progressively focused trajectory, starting from a strong foundation in chemistry and microbiology, leading to an exploration of medicine, and ultimately specializing in urology and urologic oncology.
