Embedded Software Test Engineer (SDET) at Echodyne

Benjamin Solosy has worked in software engineering and testing since 2000. Benjamin began their career as a Software Test Engineer for Microsoft Corporation (Volt contractor) in 2000, followed by a role as a Software Test Engineer for RealNetworks in 2001. In 2002, they moved back to Microsoft Corporation (Volt contractor) as a Software Test Engineer for the Windows Audio Team. From 2003-2008, they held various Software Test Engineer roles at Microsoft Corporation (Excell contractor), including for the Windows Live OneCare Client Test Team and the Windows 7 Driver Test Team. In 2009, they joined Outerwall as a Senior Software QA Engineer, where they were solely responsible for assuring the quality of the Coinstar.com website. In 2014, they moved to Syncronex as a Software Development Engineer in Test, where they were responsible for creating automated tests (Selenium) of a web application used for digital paymeter/paywall and subscription management. In 2017, they joined Instructure as a Software Development Engineer In Test, where they were part of a small team responsible for the ensuring the total quality of Canvas Studio video platform. Theirmost recent role is as an Embedded Software Test Engineer (SDET) for Echodyne Corp, which they began in 2020.

Benjamin Solosy received a B.S in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University in 1999, and a B.S in General Science (Physics/Biology) from University of Oregon in 1995. Benjamin also holds certifications from CompTIA, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Linux Professional Institute, including CompTIA Linux+ (Powered by LPI) obtained in August 2015, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner obtained in February 2020, and LPIC-1 obtained in August 2015.
