Kara Quesada has an extensive work experience in marketing and communications. Kara is currently the Director of Digital Marketing at Echodyne since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Senior Marketing Communications Manager at Intrado from 2021. From 2019 to 2021, they were the Marketing Communications Director at Russ Bassett Corporation, where they were responsible for leading marketing operations, developing strategy and executing brand, print, digital, sales enablement and field marketing activities. Kara achieved a 320% increase in web traffic and launched inaugural email campaigns that yielded click rates 50% above industry average. From 2010 to 2019, they were the Marketing Manager at Watson, where they contributed to strategic planning and led tactical development for lead-generating field marketing and marketing operations initiatives. Kara increased market recognition with a full rebrand, new website, and creative development of advertisements, editorials, tradeshow displays and new customer experience architecture, and achieved a 35% increase in digital conversions. From 2000 onwards, they have held Communications, Marketing and Sales Support Specialist roles at various B2C and B2B Product and Service Providers, where they served as spokesperson; produced and edited copy for price lists, specification guides, training manuals, advertisements, and corporate reports; designed field-marketing and event collateral; created press releases and kits; conducted market research and provided analysis. Kara increased sales in budding division by 52% through unique collateral development and by leveraging relationships to create new market opportunities.
Kara Quesada has an MA in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University, a Professional Certificate in Human Resources Development from Chapman University, a BA in a Special Major from California State University-San Bernardino, and additional training. Kara has also obtained three certifications: Your Role in Workplace Diversity from Skillsoft in November 2021, Superpowers to Great Teams from IDEO U in December 2018, and Inbound Marketing from HubSpot in September 2018.
