Vidyut Mohan is the Co-founder and CEO of Takachar (Himalayan Sustainable Energy Solutions Private Limited) since February 2016, focusing on the utilization of waste crop residues to produce fuel, fertilizers, and specialty chemicals. In addition, Vidyut serves as an Echoing Green Fellow since June 2019 and has been involved with the School for Social Entrepreneurs India as an Action Learning Facilitator and Fellow since April 2016. Previous roles include Bio Energy Consultant at Berkeley Lab and J-WAFS at MIT, Senior User Experience Researcher at Simpa Networks, and various positions at UNLEASH, the Delft Global Initiative, SELCO Foundation, and The Energy and Resources Institute. Vidyut holds a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Energy Technology and Sustainable Entrepreneurship from Delft University of Technology, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from RV College of Engineering. Additionally, formal training in Indian classical music complements Vidyut’s educational background.
