David Kirschman, MD, is an entrepreneur, investor, and technologist with extensive experience in medical device development and corporate leadership. Kirschman founded X-spine Systems, a global spinal implant company now known as Xtant Medical, and co-founded Orthophor, LLC, a startup developing a novel PVP-based antiseptic surgical irrigation system that gained FDA clearance and was transacted to Becton Dickinson in 2020. Kirschman currently serves as principal at Thunderhill Investments, LLC; is founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Aerobiotix; is chairman of the board at Entrepreneurs' Center; and holds board or executive roles with CIRO, Parvizi Surgical Innovation, CLEU Diagnostics, and Orthomod LLC. Kirschman earned an MD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine (1992–1996) and holds over 80 issued patents for a wide range of medical devices.
