Over 90% of discipleship today is conducted in a group format with a primary focus on content consumption. While valuable for building a knowledge base, 70% of pastors find these efforts ineffective and only 1% believe they are discipling new believers well. A lack of effective discipleship is having a devastating impact on The Church. 80% of new commitments to Christ fall away within the first year, 64% of young adults leave the faith as they enter adulthood, and there has been a 50% decline in both church attendance and Christians with a Biblical worldview over the past ten years. Additionally, only 38% of Christian adults say they are happy with their current spiritual state. Research, pastors, and believers at large all point to 1:1 discipleship as the most effective, proven means for Christians to become rooted in their faith and to grow spiritually. 77% of pastors say mentoring or being mentored in Christian maturity is the goal of discipleship. This is further supported by the experience of born-again Christians, who report that 1:1 mentoring is the most important factor for growth and change. Surprisingly, despite the widespread desire for the mentorship model, a staggering 83% of Christians have never participated in a 1:1 discipleship program. eciple's extensive research studies have made the root cause of this gap very clear: due to the absence of a technology solution, churches are faced with manual, labor-intensive processes, making the deployment of large-scale mentoring programs nearly impossible. eciple exists to solve this challenge. We are introducing the first-ever comprehensive, structured, and intelligent 1:1 discipleship enablement platform. Our solution is designed to empower churches and parachurch organizations to easily offer 1:1 mentoring programs at scale. We envision a future where every Christian has access to personalized guidance and support on their discipleship journey, and eciple is dedicated to realizing this vision.
