David Nash has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. David started their career as a Publications Assistant at the Fabian Society, where they supported the editorial team and conducted research for publications. Later, they worked as a Researcher at IPPR, conducting policy analysis and research on climate and energy policy. David also played a key role in coordinating the work program of the Global Climate Network. Moving on, David worked as a Research Fellow at IPPR, conducting research and policy analysis on economic issues. David authored various reports and regularly presented findings to policymakers. After that, they joined the Federation of Small Businesses as a Policy Advisor and later became a Senior Policy Advisor, overseeing and managing FSB's UK policy work across various portfolios. In 2016, David joined the ECITB, where they held multiple roles, including Head of Policy and later Director of Strategy and Policy. In that capacity, they led the organization's policy, research, and communications teams and played a crucial role in developing and promoting skills policy solutions for the engineering construction industry. Currently, David serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for Torfaen Leisure Trust.
David Nash obtained a Master's Degree in the 'Euromasters' program in Contemporary European Studies - politics and public policy from Sciences Po in 2007-2008. David also completed the same program at the University of Bath during the same time period. Prior to that, they earned a BA Hons in French and History from the University of Warwick from 2002 to 2006. In 2021, David Nash obtained a certification in CMI Level 7 Senior Leadership Programme from In Professional Development.
