Matt Knights

Matt Knights has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Matt started their career in the British Army as a Combat Engineer and Military driver, where they gained mechanical skills and completed tours of duty in Kosovo and Iraq. After leaving the army, they worked as a professional delivery driver for Freight Force. Matt then transitioned to the role of Prison officer at HM Prison Service, where they maintained a safe and secure environment for offenders. Matt later worked as an Energy employment adviser for EEEGR, analyzing skills gaps in the energy industry. Matt then joined ECITB, initially serving as an Account Manager and later taking on roles such as Senior Account Manager and Operations Grant Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Regional Operations at ECITB.

Matt Knights attended Lowestoft College from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Diploma in Uniformed Services. Prior to that, they attended Cliff Park High School from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, Matt has obtained certifications such as the Advanced Management Programme from In Professional Development (INPD) and the Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management (8600-11) from ILM. Both certifications were obtained in 2021.
