Eckel is globally recognized as the leading manufacturer of hydraulic power tongs and hydraulic power units for the world's oil and gas industries. In 1958, Emery L. Eckel revolutionized hydraulic power tongs with a floor, chalking his initial hydraulic power tong design on the floor. Today, Eckel manufactures a full line of high-performance open mouth hydraulic operated tubing tongs, casing tongs, drill pipe tongs, backups, power units, and tong positioning equipment.

Comprehensive Portfolio:

With over 40 models of hydraulic power tongs ranging in size (2⅜ to 36 in.), Eckel has a solution for almost any downhole pipe string (sucker rods, tubing, casing, drill pipe, and risers). This diversity of tongs enables Eckel to be your tubular connection specialist for all your needs and support.

Our tong features will enhance your overall tubular running experience. These features include: Latch less Radial Lock Door, Safety Door Interlock (automatically stops tong operation when the tong door is open), Door Guards (a safety feature for removing pinch points), Lift Cylinder, Spring Hanger, Torque Gauge, Torque/turn monitoring, hydraulic integral backup, tong automation, tong positioning, and hydraulic power units.

Safety and Efficiency:

Our focus is to provide enhanced crew safety and efficiency to the rig floor. Eckel tongs provide various Safety Enhanced features to mitigate safety risks and reduce operational costs through preventative accidents, rig time, and connection failure. Let an Eckel tong maximize your next tubing or casing job.
