"The Eckleburg Workshops motivated me daily to exercise my writing abilities. They have amazing instructors. In my workshop I had written a unique story each day for an entire month until my brain started leaking. Really, I am mopping the floor now cleaning off all that dried up writing brain matter." Lucien Desar, Student

“Responsive, enthusiastic and very, very well-organized. I have participated in many online workshops, including those organized by other lit mags as well as during my low residency MFA. I’m ready to enroll again. Publication is great encouragement, of course, but the experience of those four weeks far exceeds the success that follows them.” Lori White, Student

Eckleburg is the home of both The Doctor T. J. Eckleburg Review and The Eckleburg Workshops. The Eckleburg Workshops mission is to support and give priority to individual voices in innovative, traditional or mix of aesthetics. We offer monthly four week workshops in fiction, nonfiction, poetry and intermedia. We also offer long term One on One Workshops for writers who are looking to fine tune books.

The Doctor T. J. Eckleburg Review is an online and print literary and arts journal our aesthetic is eclectic, literary mainstream to experimental. We appreciate fusion forms including magical realist, surrealist, metarealist and realist works with an offbeat spin. Our issues include original content from both emerging and established writers, poets, artists and comedians such as authors, Rick Moody and Stephen Dixon, poets, Moira Egan and David Wagoner and actor/comedian, Zach Galifianakis.
