Ellen Whelan

Ellen Whelan is an innovative Group Benefit Expert specializing in multi-employer and retiree needs. Currently serving as Principal and Employee Benefits Consultant at Eckler Ltd. since 2011, Ellen has established themselves as a thought leader in retiree benefit issues, authoring actuarial standards of practice and delivering high-quality employee benefit advice. Previously, Ellen held key roles at Mercer and the Workers' Compensation Board, where they contributed to sustainable solutions for clients and conducted extensive analyses. With a BSc in Actuarial Science and Statistics from the University of Toronto, Ellen is also a dedicated educator in financial literacy for teens.
