Cassi Bruni

Senior Research Associate I at Eclipse Bioinnovations

Cassi Bruni has worked in a variety of roles in the field of biological sciences. In 2019, they began their current role as Senior Research Associate I at Eclipse Bioinnovations. From 2016-2019, they worked as a Research Assistant in the Glass Laboratory at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine, studying the role of Liver X Receptors in Kupffer cells during nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). In 2017, they participated in a Eureka! Scholar Summer Research Internship, studying the role of Nuclear Receptor Co-Repressor (NCoR) during liver fibrosis. Finally, in 2019, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Division of Biological Sciences at the University of California San Diego, developing and conducting weekly lecture discussions, leading group exercises, providing tutoring, and developing supplementary course content.

Cassi Bruni obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego in 2018. Cassi then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Biology from UC San Diego, which they completed in 2019. Prior to that, they attended South Torrance High School from 2010 to 2014.
