Neil Griffin

Neil Griffin is a seasoned Principal Sales Engineer at Liferay, with extensive experience in customer engagement, tailored product demonstrations, and sales strategy. Since joining Liferay in January 2012, Griffin has consistently exceeded sales targets while demonstrating technical value against competitors such as Adobe Experience Manager and Salesforce. Griffin has significantly contributed to the sales engineering team's efficiency by establishing best practices and creating reusable demonstration assets. In addition to leading demonstrations that leverage generative AI, Griffin has taken on leadership roles in various projects, such as serving as Project Lead for Jakarta Portlet 4.0 at the Eclipse Foundation and as Chairman of the Apache Portals Project Management Committee. Griffin’s expertise extends to contributions in the Java Community Process as the Spec Lead for JSR 378 and has a solid background in software architecture, consulting, and training within the open-source community. Griffin holds a BS in Computer Science and Math from Virginia Tech.
