Charly Mwangi

Charly M. is an experienced professional in engineering and manufacturing, currently serving as a Partner at Eclipse Ventures since September 2022. Previously, Charly held the position of Executive Vice President at Rivian from May 2020 to May 2022, where responsibilities included building and leading teams responsible for manufacturing, successfully launching three vehicles in two years. Prior roles include VP of Hardware Engineering at CloudKitchens, Senior Director of Engineering at Tesla, and positions in manufacturing engineering at Nissan Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Corporation. Charly holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Tennessee State University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Early education was completed at Strathmore High School.
