Jay Knafel

Jay believes the world’s enduring businesses are grounded in their desire to create non-zero sum outcomes for all stakeholders.

If founders and their companies create a tremendous value proposition for their customers, while building a purpose-driven culture that motivates and cares for their employees, amazing outcomes are possible. Jay has spent his career searching for these outlier businesses and technologies. At Eclipse Ventures, he is most energized when he can partner with founders that share this vision.

Jay seeks to identify businesses at an inflection point in their business model. His experience in later-stage capital markets has led him to focus on early-growth investments at Eclipse.

Prior to joining Eclipse. Jay was a growth investor at Fidelity Management & Research Company. He began his career specializing in healthcare, investing globally. He then moved on to work alongside a team of growth-focused portfolio managers. On that team he spearheaded investments across multiple industries including TMT, industrials and infrastructure.

In his free time, Jay is passionate about the outdoors. He’ll have a smile on his face when he is on a bike or in his trail-running shoes.
