Steffen Tietsche

Steffen Tietsche is a Senior Scientist at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, where they conduct research to enhance the quality of climate and weather forecasts, focusing on ocean-atmosphere interactions. They contribute to the development of ECMWF's ocean reanalysis and seasonal forecasting systems while actively participating in multi-partner European research projects and expert groups. Previously, Steffen worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Reading and as a Doctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology. Steffen is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Oceanography at Universität Hamburg and holds a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Potsdam.
