Brendan Coady

Brendan Coady has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Brendan is currently working as a Senior Product Manager at ecobee. Prior to this, they worked at Nymi as a Technical Product Manager, where they were responsible for managing releases, guiding the roadmap, and delivering products on time and on budget. Brendan also worked as a Mechanical Designer at Nymi, supporting the design and development of the Gen 3.0 Nymi Band and related hardware.

Before Nymi, Brendan worked at Mosaic Manufacturing Ltd. as the Palette 2 Hardware Lead, where they played a key role in the development of hardware. Brendan also has experience working at Venture for Canada as an Alumnus and Valedictorian for the 2015 Class. In this role, they worked with Boogaloo Bunks and Mosaic Manufacturing as part of their placement.

Brendan co-founded Boogaloo Bunks and worked as a Lead Designer, responsible for the design, maintenance, and manufacturing of the product. Brendan was also a Mechanical Engineering Student at the University of Waterloo, where they gained foundational knowledge in the field.

Additionally, Brendan has worked as a Mobile Robotics Mechanical Designer at Clearpath Robotics, aiding in the design of interdisciplinary projects. Brendan also gained experience as an Engineering Co-op Student at Baylis Medical Company, a Design Engineering Co-op Student at ELWEMA Automotive GmbH, and a Continuous Improvement Co-op Student at Stackpole International.

Brendan Coady began their education at Newmarket High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma between 2006 and 2010. Brendan then enrolled at the University of Waterloo in 2010 and completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction in 2015. During the same period, Brendan also attended the University of Waterloo - Conrad Grebel College, where they earned another Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree. In 2020, Brendan pursued further education by obtaining a Product Management Certificate from BrainStation.
