Dev Bala

Dev Bala is an accomplished product leader currently serving as Vice President of Product & Design at ecobee, focusing on innovative solutions for smart and sustainable homes. Prior to this role, Dev held the position of Vice President of Product Management at Coursera, where responsibilities included overseeing AI/ML initiatives and the development of Coursera's GenAI-powered Coach. As Chief Product Officer at Sentropy Technologies, now part of Discord, Dev led product management and marketing efforts for AI-driven moderation tools and, following the acquisition, served as Head of Platform at Discord. Previous experience includes leading product initiatives for Facebook's Portal ecosystem and overseeing Google’s Nest ecosystem as Head of Product, in addition to managing Google Workspace products, contributing to substantial revenue growth. Dev holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
