Kyle Thomson

Kyle Thomson has a strong background in engineering roles, with experience in embedded engineering, manufacturing test engineering, process/test engineering, and database integration/circuit design. Kyle has worked at companies such as ecobee, Nymi, Celestica, and PWB Interconnect Solutions Inc.

At ecobee, Kyle held the position of Senior Embedded Engineer and Embedded Engineer.

During their time at Nymi, Kyle worked as a Manufacturing Test Engineer and was responsible for various tasks such as strategizing and overseeing the implementation of new production lines and test processes, integrating Python communication methods, designing internal Fulfillment systems, and creating and integrating custom software.

At Celestica, Kyle held multiple roles in process/test engineering, where they developed functional test systems for commercial and consumer electronics. Their responsibilities included hardware and software development, project management, procurement, shipping and receiving, and training.

At Queen's University, Kyle worked as a Student Engineer/Design Project Manager.

At PWB Interconnect Solutions Inc., Kyle held roles in database integration/circuit design, where they integrated MySQL databases into PCB tester systems and managed custom PCB databases.

Kyle Thomson's education history begins in 2004 when they attended St. Paul Catholic High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma in 2010. After completing their high school education, they pursued further studies at Queen's University from 2010 to 2015. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering.
