Vaughan Murphy has a diverse range of work experience. Vaughan is currently working as an Embedded Developer at ecobee since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Boler Mountain as a Ski Instructor from December 2012 to April 2020. During this role, they created and taught individual and team programs for skiers of all ages and was Level 2 CSIA certified.

Before their role at Boler Mountain, Vaughan worked as an Embedded Software Developer Co-Op at Teledyne DALSA in April 2018-August 2018. Vaughan also gained experience as a Summer Student at General Dynamics Land Systems from May 2017 to August 2017. Vaughan's previous work experience includes a Software Developer Co-Op role at Clarendon Technologies Inc. from June 2014 to September 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Referee at Byron Optimist Soccer Club from May 2012 to August 2014.

Vaughan Murphy obtained their Ontario Secondary School Diploma from London Central Secondary School from 2011 to 2015. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's of Engineering Science in Mechatronic Systems Engineering from Western University, which they completed from 2015 to 2019. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Engineering in Robotics and Control Systems from the same institution, which they completed from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Vaughan Murphy also obtained two certifications. In April 2017, they became a Certified SolidWorks Associate from Dassault Systèmes. Prior to that, in March 2015, they obtained a Level 2 CSIA Certification from the Canadian Ski Instructor Alliance.
