Vimal Kumar Chandran

Vimal Kumar Chandran has a strong background in software testing and quality assurance. Vimal Kumar is currently working as a QA Engineer at ecobee since 2022. Previously, they worked at Infosys for over 13 years in different roles. As a Technical Test Lead, they developed automation scripts using Selenium Web Driver, Java, JUnit, and Cucumber for UI testing. Vimal Kumar also implemented a robust BDD-driven Test Automation framework using Cucumber and Selenium with Java and utilized the Page Object Model and Data Driven Framework for UI testing. In their role as a Test Analyst, they automated tests to invoke AWS lambda and AWS Step Functions and validated parquet files in AWS Bucket through Java. Furthermore, as a Test Engineer, they were responsible for analyzing requirements, participating in estimation and test planning, preparing system documents, and understanding application/system/infrastructure dependencies. Vimal Kumar also prepared test plans based on user story requirements and actively participated in Agile processes such as story grooming, retrospective, and scrum calls. Overall, Vimal Kumar Chandran has extensive experience in QA and testing and has demonstrated skills in test automation, framework development, and project management.

Vimal Kumar Chandran obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from K.C.S. Kasi Nadar College Of Arts And Science, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in Certified Tester, Foundation Level from ASTQB - ISTQB in the U.S. in June 2023.
