Joerg Heuer has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and positions. Joerg started their career at Noell Inc. as a Test Engineer in 1996. Joerg then joined Siemens as a Senior Research Scientist in 2002 and later became the Principal Research Scientist and Team Lead of "Service Infrastructure and Multimedia Services". In 2007, they transitioned to the role of Program Manager, where they led a team focused on web technologies for embedded devices. Joerg worked at Siemens until 2017, during which time they held the position of Head Group Embedded Networks. In 2017, they founded their own company, EcoG, where they currently serve as the Founder and CEO. Throughout their career, they have had research interests in areas such as massively distributed systems, embedded SOA, and declarative web languages.
Joerg Heuer received their education from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. Joerg obtained a Dipl.Ing. degree in Information Transmission and High Frequency Engineering in the years 1991 to 1996. Following this, they pursued further studies at the same institution, resulting in a Dr.Ing. degree in Algorithms for metadata description of Visual Content from 1997 to 2002.
