Gilberto Nery has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

In 2004, they started their career as a Substitute Professor at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. Gilberto then became an Independent Consultant at PhD Engenharia in 2008, where they worked until 2011.

From 2007 to 2011, Gilberto worked as a Researcher during their PhD at the Universidade de São Paulo. Their research focused on Structural Health Monitoring under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Paulo Helene.

In 2012, they joined TECOMAT as a Consultant, where they were responsible for issuing reports on concrete structures and preparing and monitoring structural recovery projects.

Gilberto also briefly worked as a Professor at Faculdade Damas in 2012, before starting their position as a Researcher at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung in 2013. Gilberto worked there until 2017.

In 2019, Gilberto founded their own company, Ever-Evolving. Gilberto served as the Founder until September 2022, when they transitioned to their current role as a Principal R&D Engineer at ecoLocked.

Gilberto Nery has a strong education background in the field of civil engineering. Gilberto started their academic journey in 2004 at the Universidade Católica de Pernambuco, where they pursued a Master's degree in civil engineering. Gilberto completed this degree in 2006. Gilberto then went on to further their studies at the USP - Universidade de São Paulo, where they obtained their PhD in Civil Engineering between 2007 and 2011.

Later, in 2018 and 2019, Gilberto Nery decided to expand their knowledge and skills beyond engineering by attending the Animas Centre for Coaching. Here, they received a degree in Transformational Coaching. Additionally, in 2021, they obtained the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification from the International Coaching Federation.

Overall, Gilberto Nery possesses an academic foundation in civil engineering with advanced degrees and certifications in the field, as well as a recent focus on coaching.
